Brand New on this site, and currently in progress are the Pubs, Inns and Taverns of Dorset ; the 2012 Olympics sailing events will be held in Weymouth and Portland. This site reminds you of the history of the Dorset area. You can also view more detail on the history of Stratford, in East London - where the main Olympic games will be hosted. - the Dorset site appears to be suffering from 'web downtime' at present, and therefore there is an updated copy of the site on another site - Kent1841

A directory of Pubs in the UK, historical public houses, Taverns, Inns, Beer Houses and Hotels in the UK . These historical listings uses information from census, Trade Directories and Family History to add licensees, bar staff, Lodgers and Visitors. This is not an exhaustive listing, and is certainly missing a considerable amount of information. The site is started by adding census & Directory listings, but considerable extra detail can be found from Petty Sessions victualler records & Recognizances, which are usually held by the local Record Office. If you want to see pictures on this site, I would love to add your pictures. If you can add any information on any of the Pubs, Beer House & Hotels, please contact me.
